2009 is the 122nd Year for Eastleigh Carnival Association, we hope this will be one of its best ever.

With the generous support of the people of Eastleigh, Eastleigh Carnival Association gave away goods to the value of about 4,000 pounds last year.

Last year Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance received 2,500 pounds from us to buy 25 special suits for wearing while on duty. They had to order them from Australia. We also gave away gifts to many others please click here to see the list.

Check out our Sponsors Page where you will find some links to other interesting websites.

We apologise for not having updated the website for some time. We are on the case and it will be all up to date soon.

CARNIVAL WEEK 2009 - The dates are Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd August with the Procession on Saturday 22nd August. As you may have seen in the Press, Paul Capper has come to our rescue but we still need more support from the public. We need more people on our committee, especially men, and more help during Carnival week. If you are interested in joining us or helping in any way please contact the Secretary or Procession Organiser. Contact details are on our contacts page. We also want many more entries this year. Please get your thinking caps on now. It's never too soon.

We are planning another Race Night so please keep checking the website for details.

If you wish to put an entry in the Procession you can download an entry form on the Procession page or fill in the electronic form and send it direct to the Procession Organiser.

Our main charity this year is The Friends of Countess Mountbatten Hospice. We will be giving away allocations of gifts again this year, if you want to apply please click here to go to our allocations page

One of the first events for the year was to choose a new carnival court to represent the Association during the year. This year the event was held on Friday 3rd April 2009 at the Eastleigh Railway Institute. The Judges had a very difficult job but they chose well. The Queen is Lucy Phillips, aged 19, and the Princesses are Taylor Harder, aged 11, and Shannon Newson, aged 10.
